Paul Brook and Da Saz met during a jam session in December 2014 in New Delhi. They develop a musical friendship and record their first album shortly after in the studio of Da Saz, in Delhi. Following this first recorded session, they are involved in different projects and share together few live shows. Each time they meet, they offer to the listener an experience of a psychedelic, electric, and noise improvisation.  

 

The sound combination of modular synths and indian guitar mixed with many effects forms a duo that folds endlessly to build a complex sound architecture rich in Baroque details. The sound texture is a constant metamorphosis of forms: passage from one form to another, sometimes giving way to an anamorphosis: passage from chaos to form.  

 

Bathed in a culture that is both urban and traditional, modular synths electrify the sound space, to which is added a sometimes pure, sometimes dissonant melody plunging the listener into extreme feelings. Free improvisation allows the two musicians to give an unconventional encounter, a creation of the present moment.

Paul Brook et Da Saz se rencontrent lors d'une jam session en décembre 2014 à New Delhi. Ils développent une amitié musicale et enregistrent leur premier album peu de temps après dans le studio de Da Saz, à Delhi. Par la suite, ils se retrouvent dans différents projets et font quelques lives. A chacune de leur rencontre, ils proposent à l'auditeur l’expérience d’une improvisation psychédélique, électrique, et bruitiste.

 

L’association des synthés modulaires et d’une guitare passée dans de nombreux effets forme un duo qui se replie à l’infini pour bâtir une architecture sonore complexe et riche de détails baroques. La texture sonore est une constante métamorphose de formes : passages d'une forme à une autre,  laissant place parfois à une anamorphose : passage du chaos à la forme. 

 

Baigné dans une culture à la fois urbaine et traditionnelle, les synthés modulaires électrisent l’espace-son, à quoi s’ajoute une mélodie parfois pure, parfois dissonante plongeant l’auditeur dans des ressentis extrêmes. L’improvisation libre permet aux deux musiciens une rencontre non-conventionnelle, une création de l’instant présent.
